The Alphacool modified version of the Laing DDC 12V pump is one of the best around. The Laing DDC is known as one of the first pumps ever made specifically for a PC water cooling environment. This pump features a magnetic drive spherical motor and electronically commutated wet rotor design which results in only one internal moving part. The impeller rests on top of a ceramic ball which eliminates the need for a shaft motor connection. The result produces a pump with a longer lifespan at lower power consumption versus other pumps on the market. Now by adding this pump to a plexiglass attachment, you can use the Laing DDC with G1/4 threaded fittings and install the assembly into a 3.5" drive bay. Also, two inlet ports can be used- either the one on the side next to the outflow port or the one at the center of the top of the plexiglass attachment. Finally, keeping consistent with the Alphacool style, there is one LED port for inserting an LED to light up the water flowing in and out of the pump. |
