Aqua Computer Aquastream Modified 12V Eheim 1046 Pump

Aqua Computer and Eheim have developed a unique 12V-centrifugal pump specifically for the use with PCs. The Aquastream has an extremely good synchronous run and offers diverse control possibilities as well as a ventilation program. This modified 1046 centrifugal pump operates at a very low noise level and has a long life span. Although the Eheim pumps are capable of constant operation, this 12V version can be powered and controlled by you computer. This pump is a true 12V pump - a higher voltage is not created. The power to demand ratio is less than 5W and the performance of this pump is at least identical to the know Eheim 1046.

Special Features:


The Aquastream comes with a power connector and control board which allows it to plug directly to your computer. The control panel fits into a 3.5" drive bay and is used to monitor and control the pump. A fail safe system can detect pump failure and shut down the PC, preventing any overheating loss to expensive hardware. The Aquastream is also progamable and can be connected to an Aquero for increased functionality and even overclocking of the pump to 1048 status.

Features:

1) Correctly operated, the pump generates a speedometer signal which can be connected to the CPU fan connection. With a failure of the pump or an error, the bios can shut-down the PC.

2) The pump implements a ventilation program which is activated by a jumper on the circuit board or by the aquaero. The filling of the system is simplified by this.

3) The pump possesses an interface for the aquaero. All important data (operating mode, electric power consumption, voltage) can be monitored with the aquaero. Moreover, the aquastream-pump can be supplied with the required power with this connection cable. The circuit board can be attached to the aquaero circuit board, which in this case will not need a 3 1/2" bay.

4) Status- and error-LEDs show the condition of the pump. The error-LED can inform about errors like a not connected pump, undervoltage and surges and further errors via flash-codes.

5) The pump possesses an emergency program for undervoltage. A correct operation thus is also possible with PSUs that supply low voltage, down to approximately 10.5V.

6) The casing of the pump was altered at the pressure sided thread adapter. Our G1/8" connectors can be fitted without adapters now.

7) The casing was not enlarged, it is identical to the 1046 and fits into our known aquabay and 1046-FMJ-case.

8) Important: The pump is still useable as a submersible pump!

9) In revision 3.0 it is possible to monitor and control two pumps via the aquaero with a special connecting-cable.

10) The status-LEDs are pluggable and can easily be exchanged with other types, to adjust the color to your liking.

The intake extension screw adapter allows you to use a compression fitting at the front (suction) side of the pump.	The 1046 extension fitting allows you to use a compression fitting at the top (pressure) side of the pump.
